Islamic Sunday School
at Dar-e-Zahra
We are delighted to introduce you to our esteemed Islamic Sunday School program, a cornerstone of our commitment to nurturing the spiritual growth and knowledge of our community's youth. In partnership with Salam Online, we proudly present an enriching curriculum (based on the teachings of Fiqh-e-Ja'frya) designed to deepen students' understanding of Islam while fostering their moral development.
About The Program
To efficiently run our Islamic Sunday School is a dedicated team that includes our admin manager, Sis. Fatema M. Meharally, and a cohort of eight knowledgeable and dedicated teachers under the supervision of Molana Saiyed Nafees Taqvi. With their collective expertise and devotion, our program has grown into a thriving educational environment where students engage with the richness of Islamic teachings.
Our Sunday School's dress code embodies modesty and unity. Boys wear a white shirt and black pants, while girls wear a white hijab and black abaya. This fosters a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
Curriculum Overview:
Our Sunday School offers a comprehensive three-level structure that caters to students of all ages and knowledge levels. This ensures that each student receives an education tailored to their needs and aspirations. The curriculum encompasses five vital subjects:
History: Delve into the rich tapestry of Islamic history, tracing the journey of our faith from its inception to the present day.
Aqaed (Beliefs): Gain a profound understanding of the fundamental beliefs that underpin our faith, promoting a strong connection to Allah (swt) and His Messengers (pbut) and Ahlul Beyat (as).
Akhlaq (Manners): Explore the teachings of Prophets (pbut) and Ahlul Beyat (as) that guide us towards exemplary character, kindness, and compassion in our interactions with others.
Fiqh (Islamic law): Navigate the practical aspects of Islamic life, understanding the rules and guidelines that shape our daily routines.
Quranic Arabic: Immerse in the beauty and wisdom of the Quran, honing recitation and understanding of its timeless teachings.

Schedule and Logistics:
Classes are held every Sunday from 11:00 AM - 02:00 PM, thoughtfully scheduled to coincide with Zohrain prayer times. Our students engage in a full day of learning, beginning with educational sessions with congregational prayers and a lunch break
in between. A nutritious lunch is provided. If you are
interested in contributing to our cause or
sponsoring lunches for our Sunday School, please
don't hesitate to contact sister Fatema at (205) 909-8082. Your support is
greatly appreciated and will help us continue to provide a nourishing
educational experience for our students.

Since the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, we have joyfully transitioned from online classes to in-person sessions, ensuring a more interactive and engaging learning experience. While most of our students attend in person, we continue to welcome those who have chosen to remain online due to distance or other considerations.

The academic year follows the conventional school calendar, commencing in August and concluding in May. To provide a well-deserved respite, a one-week winter break is observed, allowing students to recharge before resuming their educational journey.

We invite you to explore the upcoming year's schedule, delve into the course details, and discover the transformative impact that Islamic Sunday School has had on the lives of our students and their families.
